anyname.mydomain.com is an address of a subdomain within your main domain and gives you the chance to open more websites within one bv/vodahost account.

Thanks David... that's what I thought..For clarity..An addon domain is actually a folder inside my main account, but with it's own address...So .. a folder inside an addon domain...ie..folder.addondomain.com...is actually a subdomain of an addon... do i understand that right?... Thanks Doug

Not quite Doug........... A subdomain is NOT the same as an addon domain A subdomain is as I explained above, it is tied to your main domain name with the period character. Whereas an addon domain is a seperate website with its own name and own address/url mysubname.mydomain.com is the url for subdomains mywebsite.com is a seperate fully functional addon with a different domain name. Both will create a folder within your public_html folder/directory...............
