    Hi Sarah

Have you uploaded these pdfs via your ftp manager, found in the blue voda website builder, under tools ... and if so have you uploaded them to the public_html directory

Also you need to be sure that the name of the pdf and the link name are the same ...

    example

    pdf named help

things need to coincide with each other ...

    Sarah,

Are you trying to display the pdf on your website pages?
    or
Do you want people to download your pdf file?

    Ladyeye,
Yes I did I changed the names to get rid of the MS prefix then I uploaded the contents to the right side public_html. I can see them there. And I have checked that all the links are singing the same song, the doc that corresponds to it is simply english.pdf.
should I open a support ticket for this?

The links are there for visitors to print if they need the info. They are not in the main body part of a webpage they are the contents of the drop down menus for example summer brain poster or enrolment form etc which I had hoped could be clicked on to open for info or print.

    Sarah,
This is the link on your top menu(chinese):
    http://www.yourdomainname.com/introchinese.html/pdf
    this should be: http://www.yourdomainname.com/introchinese.html
    or
    http://www.yourdomainname.com/introchinese.pdf
depending on whether you want to display a page or download a pdf file......

All your other links in your top menu follow the same pattern......

Your side menu has the correct linking parameters.

In that case the link to download would be:

    http://www.yourdomainname.com/introchinese.pdf

I dont think that you can just display a pdf file the way that you are trying.

If you still have problems, contact me (use the contact form on any of my websites) as I
have a program that will convert msword or pdf files into a website page for viewing on the web.

Question Re: Error 404 when trying to open link

    David,
Thanks for your effort. I teid to make the index perfect before copy pasting
to the other pages that why I asked you whcih page you were on. I had already amended those links with the mistaken html.pdf etc before posting my question and yet you said you can still see them. perhaps it hasn't loaded up yet?

one of the .pdf links is: http:// mydomainname.com/enrol.pdf

I did wonder whether I should use a different link type as there is a choice of http, ftp, file etc could this be the problem.

    over to you.........

    Sarah
