Thread: Internet exception Error 12029

Please Help me someone!!! I am new to this site and I have been trying to publish for a week now. I need this website up as soon as possible. I have already submited a ticket.
I know this is firewall related. I have done everything the other post said to do. I have 3 firewalls on this computer. 2 are enabled all the time. I have windows firewall...which is always turned off. Norton...which I have added the site into and I have even turned it off to see iif it would work.
I have windows vista and I have disabled the hidden firewall that it has.
I have tried disabling all firewalls and that still does not work. and YES I have rebooted then tried too.

I also want to make sure that I added my url to my index page. How do i do that to make sure I have already done it properly, to make sure It can go online.

Try adding the Blue Voda program to your trusted applications and giving it FULL access to the internet. Also list your site as a trusted sites. Norton has a few peculiarities in it. It should apply them to all your firewalls across the board. Norton runs in the background even when you THINK you have shut it down. It loads at boot up in the dos mode even, so its running before you even start the computer up.

The other place to check is that you have the correct user name and password in your ftp client or blue voda and that you are connecting to the correct server, and the server ip hasnt changed.

How do I do that?? When I goto internet options then security and i try to add a website...it says it has to be a https connection. What is the exact website I am suppose to add? Where am I to do this?

as for the server...My domain is with godaddy...Where do I go to check out the servers to see if it is right?

A 12029 error is a firewall issue error. This means that one or more firewalls is
blocking your attempt to publish with BlueVoda. Please follow the below steps:

97% of the time this can be attributed to your Windows XP Firewall Please follow
the following steps...

1) Go to your computers control panel
2) Click on widows firewall
3) Click on exceptions
4) Click on add programs
5) Add BlueVoda to your list of programs
6) Press ok
7) Reboot your computer

You have now successfully added BlueVoda to your safe programs list.
You should not have this problem again. If the problem persists. Your
computer might have a secondary firewall from Norton or MacAfee.
You will also have to BlueVoda to their safe programs list.

Also if you are working from an office or you are using your companies
computer or internet connection. You company probably has some type
of network firewall in place.

Please contact your companies system administrator for instructions.

Then you have some other firewall issue on hyour end, please call up your ISP.

Hi, this usually comes up when there is no index page (home page)
Publish your indexpage named as index in low case letters & nothing else.

my index page is saved as index.bvp already

How do I make sure my url is right to put the index page online. Where do i go to make sure that is right?

If you are not using the right url (domain name) you will not be able to publish it.
WHen you published it you published it as indes ONLY, not index.bvp. Voda will add that automatically

what i ment was when i saved the page i saved it as index but it automaticaly put in the .bvp when i saved it into a folder. When i open the folder into bluevoda the tab says index.bvp i didnt add the bvp. I haven't even published it yet because it won't let me. Will it automatically goto my proper url when i can get it published? Where do i go to make sure it goes to www.candleessence.org or should it already know that.
