Thread: Publish Assistance

Hi there

I am trying to publish new pages on my website. When I click publish it keeps coming up failed - unable to connect to the server. I have double checked the Password, Username and IP but still no luck. FTP can connect but when I try to send my page file over with that they don't seem to publish.

Any ideas what is wrong and what i can do to fix it?

It is error number 12029 if that helps anyone and I am using BV 9.1.0

A 12029 error is a firewall issue error. This means that one or more firewalls is
blocking your attempt to publish with BlueVoda. Please follow the below steps:

97% of the time this can be attributed to your Windows XP Firewall Please follow
the following steps...

1) Go to your computers control panel
2) Click on widows firewall
3) Click on exceptions
4) Click on add programs
5) Add BlueVoda to your list of programs
6) Press ok
7) Reboot your computer

You have now successfully added BlueVoda to your safe programs list.
You should not have this problem again. If the problem persists. Your
computer might have a secondary firewall from Norton or MacAfee.
You will also have to BlueVoda to their safe programs list.

Also if you are working from an office or you are using your companies
computer or internet connection. You company probably has some type
of network firewall in place.

Please contact your companies system administrator for instructions.

I tried that and it didn't work. It connects then starts uploading when it gets to about 40% it then come up with Internet exception error 12029.

I am on my own pc running windows firewall and AVG I have satellite internet routed to my pc from my D-Link connecter so there shouldn't be any network problems.

Any ideas?

Try publishing just a page of text, with not much on it, and see if that gets through? Just a thought ...

It's working again! I tried everything and none of it worked so i left it for a few days and it's just starting working again!
