AddOn Domains automatically show the content from my main domain - WHY>?

I have six addon domains and they are all showing up with the same content as my main domain www.impactquality.com

even after i published an entirely different index page for this particular addon domain: www.moremovies.org -it still showed up as the content from my main domain...

When you type the addon domains into a browser, you do in fact go to the correct site (addondomain.com) but it displays the content from my main domain. ALL of my addon domains are doing this...

Can anybody help me figure out why all of my addon domains are showing the main domain's content, while NOT redirecting/ somehow they are just automatically adopting the files of the main domain...

Help would be greatly appreciated, if anyone has any idea...

Simply because you have never added each domain as an "add-on" domain in to your primary VH account (which is done via the Control Panel).

You simply re-directed each of your domains to the single account, and they all are displaying the primary index page associated with that account.

Add-on domains each have their own public_html/ directory, and thus, will behave like an "account-within-an-account" and be able to each have completely separate websites published therein, each with their own index page.....

Please review the Control Panel Tutorials to learn how to do this process properly.....don't guess, as it will only cause problems for you and require greater effort to correct.
Then, study the DNS Tutorials to properly reset DNS for the domains in question.

I did add them as addons in the CP, I studied all the tutorials before beginning and I also watched them again to see if I could find out why all the domains are showing the same content as my main domain.

Also, in the FTP manager, all the addons have their own folders within the public_html folder... doesn't that confirm that they have been successfully added on?

i also wanted to make it clear that I have changed all the name servers thru my domain registrar... i know that is not the problem either

the only thing i could figure it might be is for me to go back into my domain name registrar (********.com) and do the same addon process there (they were until now previously unassigned). If everything works tomorrow then I will know that was it. I didnt think that was necessary since the DNS were changed to voda's and i hade done the addon process in the voda CP. Thanks for your help. If it doesn't work I will definitely post here again.

Go to your domain registrar and login to the user panel, in vodahost, you login in to billing, then click mypackages, then domains, click on the domain and make sure its pointing to the correct voda host server, and also make sure that it says ns.vodahost.number and not DNS. Someone else recently did this exact same thing.
If its not that.. put in a support ticket for help with it.

When you are publishing the addon domains, are you remembering to change where they are published to? For example, when you publish your main domain, you publish to: public_html.

For each add-on you need to change that to reflect the name of the add-on: public_html/whateverthedomainnameisoftheaddon

THANKS for the advice, I did publish correctly the way you suggested, and when I go to my FTP manager it shows that the appropriate index pages are in the correct subfolders in the public_html directory. I also believe my name servers are pointed correctly (they all point to the same two name servers, the same ones that my Main domain is pointing to, and that is working/showing up etc). My registrar for my domains is ********, not Voda Host...i think that is why i didn't see any option in my control Panel...there was nothing for domain management OR billing. is it possible there is something wrong with my CP?

Billing isnt in your control panel its on vodahost

If your domain registrar is blue host you will need to use their procedure to point your domains. I suggest you move the domain registrar to either voda host or *******, where you have FULL access and control to them and can insure they are pointing correctly, other wise how can you tell rather or not they are correct? I will almost guarantee you there is some error in this error and thats why your domains are NOT showing up, and until you can access and see and change this info, we are spinning wheels guessing.

I am aware of how to change the name servers at ********.com I have already done this, I do have access to it and I can check it (they are pointed correctly and have been for several days)

Then put in a support ticket. If you are positive the nameserver is ns.vodahost and not DNS.vodahost, thats the only answer.

I just went and looked up your domain and gee GUESS what i found

Ok.. I just looked up the logins and yours would be correct if you are on voda19 and not voda 11.

Then youd be back to your addon and rather or not you created it as a .org instead of a .com

Hello, yes I am on voda 19, i double checked the appropriate name servers that voda host sent to me, and they both go to the 19 (not the 20), as far as all that information you found on ********, that is not me, not my number or even the state where i live...i dont know what all that info is...

i found it very interesting that link you sent me shows the proper index page for the addon domain...but how do i get that index page to show up when you type moremovies.org into the browser? why does it only show up under my main domain? (impactquality.com/moremovies/index.html)
