Thread: Home (index) page refuses to go online!

I have tried to publish the pages of my website but when I type in the url nothing but a disjointed index type thing (which I haven't created) pops up, I can't seem to acess my website... wondering if you can tell me what I am doing wrong...

Lookslike maybe you have saved your home page as index.html

Resave it as index
no html, and all lower case, see if that fixes it for you.

You have saved your home page as home page.html
If you want to type in your url and have it open to your home page, you are going to have to save it as index, no spaces, all lowercase letters.

Further, several of your page names have capital letters and spaces.

All of your pages should be saved with no capital letters and no spaces.

If you don't follow these conventions you will continue to get this list of pages and images instead of your home page as you want it.

Do you mean the name I saved it under when building it? sorry for sounding really dense...

Hi, rename this page http://www.mowcopchurch.com/Home%20Page.html as index only & republish. Visitors will then get to your site by this url.http://www.mowcopchurch.com

Would be worth going through your site & renaming most of the pages & links. IE: this page http://www.mowcopchurch.com/Chiildre...Youth%20b.html should be named in lower case letters with no gaps. “children_and_youth”
