Default If somebody could please help a first timer publish

Hello to everybody, my names David and this is my first post so i do hope i get some help.

I just need some help about understanding how the publishing works. If somebody could please break it down in the simplest of terms it would be very much appreciated.

Ive designed my pages, i named the home index. and pressed publish and that went up fine.

On my home page i have links to other pages and named them as a link, for example my abou page i set the link as "www.mydomain.co.uk/about.html" (that isnt actually my page) and i have saved it in bluevoda as "about".

where do i set it as "www.mydomain.co.uk/about.html"?

im very new to websites and need help. please.

thank you

Hi David:

Welcome to Vodaland ..

Sounds like you are off to a very good start and have naming, saving and publishing downpat. You publish all of your pages that you build and you always need to be sure the names and what you link to are the same, you are doing things correct. As soon as you publish a page, it will appear on the internet via that link you know how to make.

If you have created a page named about - and then you published it - you would be able to see it by the link you typed. (With the exception your real domain name would be in that link - right).

And it sounds like you have put the link to your about page on your index page ... this is good - how did you do that? Did you use a navigation button or a text link? Sounds like you have set the link correctly.

Do you have a voda hosting account? If so, you need to point your domain to your voda servers .. you can do so by logging into your vbs - this information is found in your log in information that you received when joining voda host.

Hi, there

Would it be possible for me to publish my BlueVoda webpages to another host? I've already reserved my webspace somewhere else...

Thanx

Maxie
