Question More info on Creating hyperlinks

I have just published my new website but I am having problems with creating hyperlinks for my product list.

    My home page is fine

    www.sunshynecraftsbeads.com

    www.sunshynecraftsbeads.com/scb_5301.html

But when I click on the different sizes they should go to the product listings but I either get a bad gateway or web page can not found.

    Example on how I did the hyperlinks for the pages;

    www.sunshynecraftsbeads.com/scb_5301_4mm_p1.html
    www.sunshynecraftsbeads.com/scb_5301_4mm_p2.html
    www.sunshynecraftsbeads.com/scb_5301_4mm_p3.html
    www.sunshynecraftsbeads.com/scb_5301_4mm_p4.html

I have checked all the spelling to make sure there was no errors in saving the pages and all is fine. I have checked all the hyperlink and they are done as shown in the tutorials.

I am also finding that every time I click a page it is opening anew window. I need to fix that but this is more important right now.

Can someone provide me with a bit of direction on what I am doing wrong. Thank you in advance.

Hi, you have used upper case (capital) leters in your links. IE "2MM" instead of "2mm"

    Good luck.

Question Re: More info on Creating hyperlinks

No, all my links are done in small letters. I do not use capital letters on anything but the styles page.

When I look at the published website I am able to get 2 linked pages only in the 5000 style section.

    http://www.sunshynecraftsbeads.com/scb_5000.html
    then the next page
    http://www.sunshynecraftsbeads.com/scb_5000_6mm_p1.html
    then the next page
    http://www.sunshynecraftsbeads.com/scb_5000_6mm_p2.html

but I can not get page 3 or 4 and they are all done the same with the exemption of p3.html and p4.html ?

When I hit page three I get a bad gateway because it is not accepting the .com in the link even thought it has it in my link for the next page ?
I have tried reprinting it and saving as then republish but it keeps coming up as

    http://www.sunshynecraftsbeads/scb_5000_6mm_p3.html
    &
    http://www.sunshynecraftsbeads/scb_5000_6mm_p4.html

Can someone please help me. I would like to have the site up for the new year. If I can get this figured out then I am sure it will be a breeze correcting the other pages.

    Thank you in advance,
    TracieDawn

They work for me. Did you find your error - or maybe you just needed to refresh?

No I am still having the problem with page 3 & 4. When I hit the next button on page 2 , I get the message bad gateway. When I look on the address it is not including the .com in the third and forth page.

If I manually put in http://www.sunshynecraftsbeads.com/scb_5000_6mm_p3.html

it works fine but when I publish this page it is coming up as

    http://www.sunshynecraftsbeads/scb_5000_6mm_p3.html (no .com)

The links are as they should be so I don't know what or where the problem is occurring.

    Thank you in advance,

Hi, when you go to this page that you posted http://www.sunshynecraftsbeads.com/scb_5301.html

Most of the links should be lower case, but on the majority you have the 2 m's in uppercase IE: this one is fine.
    http://www.sunshynecraftsbeads.com/scb_5301_4mm_p1.html

But where you have 4mm on this one, all the others are 2MM, 3MM, 5MM & so on. The 10th one has no link.

    Good luck.

Try refreshing your browser, because as I said above, I can use the next button on the page you mentioned and it works fine.

Thank you for your information but I think we arelooking at different things.
I am not having problems with the bead size pages or the links for that. I am having problems going to the next page.
    Example:

    http://www.sunshynecraftsbeads.com/scb_5000.html

Then click on the 6MM it will bring you to page 1 of my beads, I go to the bottom of the page and hit next and it will take you to page 2 and it will show you the list of beads and colors.

When you go to the bottom and hit next to go tothe 3rd page, you will not get the 3rd page but the following message and it is the same message for the forth page. Sorry it is large I just copied an pasted it.

    Bad Gateway

    The following error occurred:
[code=DNS_HOST_NOT_FOUND] The host name was not found during the DNS lookup. Contact your system administrator if the problem is not found by retrying the URL.

    Bethers,

I do not know how you are getting page 3 and 4 of my listings as I am getting the same message over and over again.

I have refreshed repeatedly, I have deleted every thing in my control panel and re published. I have even restarted my computer and I still get the same message for page 3 and 4 for the 5000 6mm listings.

As mentioned previously when I click on the next button on page 2 it comes up with a error message ( as above) and the address does not include the .com which is causing the problem.

I have triple checked the hperlinks on the page to make sure I included the .com in the hyperlink and it is there so I do not know why it is not accepting it online with the .com??

I know it is going to be some silly little thing but I am getting very frustrated as all 4 pages are identical but yet 2 don't work.

    Thank you in advance.

They just worked again for me - but I do need to tell you that you need to have a previous page button also - and navigation on all these pages. I would never see most of your products with the way you have this laid out.

But, for testing purposes, instead of using the links you're providing here, I just went to your home page and went to the 5000 page and then to each of the next buttons - and all worked.
