    Default Zip files

For the first time (after 2 years) I've gone and created my first zip files.
Out of 7 one did upload but the remainder will not. I've checked the zip files themselves and everything seems ok. Any ideas?
PS They are huge-from 47,000kb to 702,000kb. The file that succeeded is almost 500,000kb.
    Regards
    Mike
PS The exe files are uploading quite ok albeit a little slow.

Your ISP is most likely timing you out.

Thankyou but any suggestions? One of your colleagues suggests an alternative ftp manager. By that would it mean a completely different FTP I actually did pay for coffeecupdirectftp. Would this create any further problems by using two separate ftps?

Try making the zip files smaller, break the data down into 2-3 zips..so you wont time out.

Thankyou again. But I had already tried that - 50% thereby creating 2 zip files but to no avail. Looks like separate exe files again. Although it is amazing that one got through considering it's 483,000kbs. I am almost three quarters of the way through with three from the third lot to go and the complete exe files of the fourth yet to upload. Pity I deleted the exe files earlier before uploading those damn zip files that failed. Lesson learnt.

Sometimes when I FTP large files my FTP program itself will time out if I don't monitor it. If I minimize it for like 5 minutes, or walk away from the computer it sometimes times out. If I check on it every couple minutes and move the cursor around, navigate some local files (pretty much any action), it doesn't time out.
