Thread: Error in publishing of the first page

Hello,
I published my first "Coming soon" page and it is appearing on the screen. But there is just the column (Index of/) with the linked files appearing on the screen.
What I did wrong in publishing or design?
Please help!

You name your home page wrong..it must be called index with a small i.

Thanks! It worked out. I got respond "Successfully published" and I saw my page on the web screen.
But it was dissapeared in a few minutes later. Now I can see only Apache....
What's wrong?

yes, my page is appearing now but there is error size of the page. The items are not placed nicely. I tried to change the size of the page but it was unsuccessful.
Then I changed and completed design of the home page (called INDEX) and tried to re-publish it....But there is nothing changed.
How can I update my page?
I mean how can I re-publish my page with changes?

In this case we are talking about your index page. Call up this page in Blue Voda. Make whatever changes you wish in BV on your computor. Save the page again as index. Hit publish. The page will be now as you have recreated it both in BV and on your site.

yes, I did the same as you told. Pressed "Save as index".....the computer telling me that PAGE IS ALREADY EXISTS. WOULD YOU LIKE TO REPLACE IT?
I said YES. It is saved in BlueVoda. Then I hitted PUBLISH. It was published successfully.
But nothing changed on the web site.

I updated my INDEX page and re-published it. But (very strange thing!!!) it is not apearing on the web site.... Instate of updated page I can see my first created page....

Why was it happened? What I did wrong?
Please help.

Well either the spelling is wrong with index, in your post you have INDEX, should be index, all small letters, also hit F5 in your browser. Your browser could be caching your old page which is what your seeing. Also try closing down browser and typing in the site url again.

My site is working now..
