Thread: List of files instead of webpage when published

Hi,
I published my index web page (home page) as instructed in the tutorial, however when I try to bring up my web page, all I get is a list of files. The URL is www.canadianmaintainer.com
It looks fine when I preview it in BlueVoda.
Any help would be appreciated.

what have you saved, named and published your index page as?

You need to publish your main page as index

When you save your page name it index

DO NOT put html on the end like this index.html

just have index

Voda will add the html automatically when you publish it.

PS: make sure you publish it to public_html

I did save the page as index (no .html) and published it to the public_html site. I just resaved it and tried again, but still no luck. Only a list of files showing up.
Any other ideas?

Hi, pop into your site & delete the index.html & re-publish "index". Should do it.

I just gave that a try Chris. Still no change.

Your index page is Index.html, if you click on that in your listing of files it loads just fine. What you need to do is change the name from Index to index (not capitalized). It is case sensitive so the capital "I" is throwing it.

exactly, and like collectors advises, go into your control panel and delete the page called Index.html ... and then republish like Mattski says - index
