You are probably viewing cached pages.

Hit F5 a few times or clear out your temp files.

Please post a url of the page so we can have a look. Also, please give some explanation as to what you changed so we may look to see if it is showing the change on our end.

I have published a few pages of my new website, and it shows up ok on my computer, but it does now work on other people's websites. Am I doing something wrong?

The most common reason is that you published the page to the wrong directory. By your statement, I assume that you have other websites on your account-correct? If yes, then make sure that when you hit publish that you are designating the correct directory (folder).

For only your website it would look like this:
    public_html/

But for another site it might be:
    public_html/theothersite.com or public_html/theothersite

    Hope that makes sense

Do I need to do anything else here?

? What do you mean by this then? What other websites are you refering to?
but it does now work on other people's websites.
Also- you did not explain what changes you did and what I should look for when I bring it up.

Does it take time (up to 72hrs) to see it on other computers? As I have just joined and published my first page (index page) after only a few hours after getting the welcome email.

I can see your site- so please explain to me what changes you made that aren't showing up and I will see if I can see them.

Sorry if I don't explain myself properly, but what I meant to say was, that what I published, I can access my site (www.belmontbowlsclub) on my computer, but my friends cannot access this same address on their computers.

Thats a whole different ball game.

1- they need to make sure that they are typing in the name correctly- best way to do it is to send them a link in an email. Make sure you do it correctly also. www.belmontbowlsclub.com

2- If you are publishing new pages or corrections and they are showing up fine when you go to the site- then there is nothing wrong with the way you are publishing.

3- if your friends still cannot access your site given a correct link- tell them to add your website to there "trusted sites" in Internet Explorer.

? Does that sum it up
