    Default Publishing question

I tried to publish a mp3 of about a 30 minute sermon. Wouldn't go. . .so so slow. Now publishing anything. ..even a regular page has slowed to a crawl. . .like 20 minutes or more. ..something is wrong but I don't know what.

A related question is there anyway to upload an audio file ONCE? If I make a slight change on the page I have to upload the whole dang thing everytime? Is there any way just to link it to the FTP address so I don't have to load the audio each time I publish a slight change in text or change the image on the page.

Hi, use the MP3's url that you have uploaded in the file name field of your BV player. If you are not quite sure. Go to the c panel & look for the music file in "possibly" your public_html area & click on the file. The url link will show on the right hand side of your c panel. Place this in the BV music players file field.
Now try & publish to see if its Quicker.

    Good luck

Right now I'm at a standstill. . .I can't publish anything. . .it just freezes. I sent a ticket. . .they said try CCleaner. ..NOTHING. . .no change. . .I can't publish. . .it goes about a third. .very slowly and then just stops. . .including even simple text changes on any page. I have four active sites that I can't get to now. . .this is GREAT! HELP!

    1. Can you get into your control panel?
    2. And have you tried publishing a simple test page with just some text (TEST).
Just trying to eliminate a few things 1st.

    Solved!

I had to increase my "time-out" limit and also to find the MP3 in my temp folder and delete. Back to normal. The key thing I think is that for larger files you need to increase the "time out" limit.
