If I want to publish a second site, not an add on, do I:
use same user name
same password
use publish to ...public_html/newsite.com or no .com
have tried both but cannot access it.
What am I doing wrong?

If its not an addon or a subdomain its not a .com
If its simply a folder it would be public_html/foldername

Why do you not want it to be an add-on? An add-on is a stand alone site - simply called an add-on because you are staying in the same account.
Thanks Karen and Bethers I guess I did not explain correctly. What I am trying to do is ....yeah Beth it is an add on. If that means it is indendent of my first site.
I made a page for the new site and named it index. I tried to publish it to public-html/newsitename but when trying to view it on the web I get only a place hold card, in the name of the newsite. In my public_html it shows an index page and a file named public html.......on the published side it shows a list of all my pages of mayatabasco.com. ( I know this is not the way to explain)......When I tried to publish, I saved the page as index and when the dialog box appeared I used my IP number as always, then my user name, my password and then public_html/newsitename.
Are the nameservers for the new .com pointed correctly to VH?
Did you add the new site as an addon to the cp?
Hi Beth,
Named Servers pointing towards VH..????????????
Yes it is listed on the CP as add on domain.
Still nothing published...............have index page name as such...in public_html folder is just the index, which opens fine but cannot publish says there is no such folder
I think I'm the only one that reads this but.........I published successfully, went to look at it on the www and get a place holder for the site but not the index which I published to public-html/newsite...ANYONE know why??
If you give me the domain name, I can look at where the nameservers are pointed. Where did you buy the domain? Did you then point it to VodaHost???? That is probably the problem.
