Thread: Pub questions

Hello everyone.

Well, I seem to be having the same type of problem that "gattopardo" is having. My main index page shows but the other pages I have published will not. I'm getting a bit frustrated because I know the answer will be a simple one. I've watched the tutorials 'til my eyes hurt! I'm just not seeing it right now. I'm still making modifications to my other pages at the moment. I really just want to get my "gallery" page, "what's new" page, and "contact" page up for now. The rest will take time.

My index page is http://www.andrewtuckerart.com

I'll make sure that I have no ".com"s in my links or titles. Right now I'm having trouble publishing and viewing online plus I also can not log into my CPanel to see what's going on there. Maybe some sort of temp problem on BV's end?

Thanks for any help you guys can give me in getting over this hump.

Your links are bad but that's not your whole problem.
From your Home page the link to Gallery shows as
h t t p://andrewtuckerart.com.gallery.html
should read:
h t t p:// w w w.andrewtuckerart.com/gallery.html
(I've added the spaces to avoid linking)
Your other links are that way also. You don't want to put .com at the end of the link but you must have it in the website name.
But I can't find you pages even making this correction.
Pls confirm you saved the Gallery page as gallery only and published it to public_html/

You publish from BV to: public_html/
You name your home page index
Once published your url will become
http://www.andrewtuckerart.com/index.html

To link to gallery, name your page gallery and publish
the same way as the above and your url will become
http://www.andrewtuckerart.com/gallery.html/

To link from your homepage [index] to your Gallery page
Right click and in properties enter
http://www.andrewtuckerart.com/gallery.html/ in full.

Do the same for the rest of your pages.
For your Contact or Email right click and enter properties.
Select http:/ and change it to mailto: and enter the
following address: mailto:contact@andrewtuckerart.com

To goto your Login page, open BV and select "Control Panel"
on the bottom tool bar.

Oh come on people lets double check your info on this and give the right answers. this poor person is going to loose there way on this.

Alien Dude, Did I get something incorrect? I'd appreciate knowing if I did.

Thanks guys. I see where I strayed on page title/URLs. However, I'm still facing the problem of not being able to see my page online and I am still unable to publish corrected pages. It sounds like you guys could see them (my pages) ok? I'm still unable to log into my IP and control panel. Could publishing a page with a ".com" title in it have put me in this bind? I'm stumped on how to get back on track.

It is not necessary to put the full URL in the Nav button url box only the page you wish to go to. only if linking off site would you do this. Nor would you put a / at the end of the link unless it is going to a folder within your site that has a index.html or .php in it.
So this is wrong http://www.andrewtuckerart.com/links.html/ as it implies that /links.html/ is a folder.

your best bet is bring all your pages up in bv ( the ones for the nav buttons anyway) check what they are saved as ( as stated by poster one ) then in the url box of each button type in what it says, so if you saved your links page as links then it would be /links.html and so on. also check that you have not published as php if so the link would be /links.php
