Thread: Urgent help needed

Hi,

Have supposedly published webpages successfully but when put address into search bar on google, i get this message:

Index of /

* .ftpquota
* cgi-bin/

Apache/2.2.9 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.9 OpenSSL/0.9.8b mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 Server at www.appear10yearsyounger.com Port 80


What am I doing wrong. The folder for the website is in the public_html folder.

When you save your page and then publish it, be sure you call it "index" (without the quote marks)--all lowercase, no extension. If your website is in a folder in the public_html folder, then your address would look something like this: mysitedotcom/foldername/

Tom thats not correct about the address. The address would simply be www. sitename . com
And to be clear save the home page as index then publish.

If he had his index page in a folder inside his public folder, wouldn't he have to add that to his address to find it? I doubt if he did that anyway, but I'm reading his question literally.

Well yes if he created a new folder, but then he would not have a home (index) page. When you type in your address it will load the index page from the public_html floder, if it is not there and only there it will not find it.

I'm getting a bit confused by the discussion even though I know you're trying to help. I did save my homepage from Bluevoda, as index (no quotation marks or anything), as I had with my other sites.
What does that message mean that I got , where it says ftpquota?
