Most of the google explanations for this error are to do with Internet Explorer and/or wireless connections.

Have you tried rebooting your computer ?

    Try this...

Internet explorer, tools, internet options, go to advanced tab.. scroll down to the section titlled SECURITY.. and UNTICK the box that says "check for server certificate revocation*". Apply settings ok.. close explorer, may have to reboot.

Mine did this the other day after the GREAT UPDATE and that was the culprit.

If that doesnt work.. try this solution

    Hi
Still no joy with publishing, still coming up with the error, i tried your suggestion karenmac, but still no joy , i have 2 accounts with bluevoda, so i tried the other one as well and its the same problem with that one, but thank god i haven't made any changes to that one so its still online, but the dmfplumbing.com account is just showing a list instead of the actual site now, although i deleted some files so thats probably why!!!
can anyone suggest a reason why error 12007 is popping up when i try to publish?

your firewall is blocking somewhere...try readding bv to it as full access program.

If this was an addon domain, make sure that you added it correctly thru control panel and that you log into where you purchased the name and point it to the vodahost server.

You could use another computer with a different connection..say at a library or something and see if you can ftp to the site from there. If you can ...then the problem is your machine and your firewall is blocking your connection..or you have a conflicting statement in you windows host file forbidding it...again these statements are usually misconfigured either by a firewall or a virus. Virus characteristics keylog you and take your passwords but dont let you actually login or go anywhere.

Hi - just came on board and noted a problem. I've still a minor problem to solve. I will be checking the Security section to see if that prevents updates. I don't knpw about 12007 but try this:
start-programs-system tools-system restore ... and put the date at just before your problem occurred. It might just work.
