The Title is what will appear at the top of the browser in the blue bar...not the web address but actually in the bar. And your link isnt working for me.

Well if you want your site to show up.. homepage.html wont get it. Needs to be named 'index' You can TITLE it whatever you want.. but that needs to be the page name or it wont come up when someone types www.Ineedsunshine.com

On the 2 urls posted it a placement foder did you publish your index page if not. When you do your index page in the web builder you should save it as index nothing else added and must be in small letter's. When you are doing your index withlinks tou can name it home but the link is http://yourdomain,com no spaces when doing another page it will be the link as http://www.yourdomain.com/yournewpage.html now the home page will link to the new page to put titles that would be in page properties. Hope this helps

Default Re: what do l put for title?

ya need to rename your homepage...index...no caps...and publish.

As far as title, then ya have a new "beast"...seo, or search engine optimization.

If what you were selling or showing on your site is widgets...then your page that shows up when you go to yourdomainname.com (index...again no caps...only index), you would title it "Widgets". Hard to be specific without knowing the ins and outs of your pursuits. If you have a diversified list of products, then the steps you take will NEED planning.

It gets confusing to a new person, names vs titles...names are what you save the page as... and titles are what you put in the properties box of that page as...and to get the best bang for your buck, your domain name should match your title, and the content on your page and should have the same "key" words or phrases as the domain name and title. It gets tricky, or logical, depending on your point of view from here.

It's one thing to publish a page, but to publish a page that will get buyers is another. This is where search engine optimization comes into play.

Good Luck! Don't give up...you will get it!

So first page, so you have something to show for your site = name it index, nothing else, then your other pages would be public_html/whatever-you-name-this-page...

.....no spaces, no caps, and if you prefer underscores(_) as opposed to hyphens (-), keep in mind that is easier to type hyphens,

then bv will automatically add the extension ( .html or .php), default is .html and if you want .php, you will need to change it in the page's property box.

If you don't publish and just save, it will save as .bvp, but that is to save it in the builder, not to publish...

DO NOT ADD AN EXTENSION...to publish.

Cheers!

You need to point your domain to your VH account. Contact whoever you purchased your domain from and have them repoint it, giving them the server details as given to you on your 'welcome' email.

Its pronounced POP LAR.. its a TREE like an aspen but smaller not as wispy. So.. the POPLARS grow on the Bluff (hill, mesa, incline, ant hill, trashpile, god only knows in arkansas and missouri)

No.. Voda does not automatically direct it. You must login and point it to the servers. They will be something like NS.VODA10.com There will be two of them.. or one.. but you type it twice. They should have given you login info to login and point your domains or manage your domains.

You need to publish those pages too. If they are published then check that the names are exactly correct that you are putting in the links.

Have you watched the tutorials?

Everything on this page: http://www.lneedsunshine.com/changeovers.html
is linked to itself except the links read Changeovers.html. The links MUST be exactly the way you have saved the page - and must link to the page you want them to go to. There is a difference between 'changeovers' and 'Changeovers'.
In BV, you create a page and go to File:Save Page As and simply type the name of the page (ie changeovers). That's all you type as the name of the page. BV will save this as 'changeovers.bvp'. When you publish the page it will be published as
http://www.Ineedsunshine.com/changeovers.html
Your link will have to be exactly like this. If your page name is all lower-case, your links must show all lower-case also. (I would suggest you always use lower-case letters for names to avoid confusion). However, be careful since you do have an upper-case letter in your site name.

I can get to some of your pages from index but not all. But on the ones I can get to - changeovers, rentalterms, management, thingstodo) you have no links on them to any other pages. (Also those pages are not centered on the page)
You should have links on every page to every other page and locate them in the same spot on every page. You want to make it easy for the viewer to navigate.

Make sure every link reads exactly the way you have named the page.
Make sure every page has been published
Make sure you have watched the tutorials - more than once
Realize that everyone on here was new at one time, and all are volunteering their time to help you. Making remarks like 'no help' when very knowledgeable people have been replying is not the best way to keep getting help.

In BV, Open each page you have created and find the exact name of that page. Then add 'http://www.Ineedsunshine.com/' in front of that name and then substitute '.html' for '.bvp' and that is your link.

You have been getting lots of help!!! You just aren't listening.

Think of your site in terms of navigation.... If you just put the name of the page in the url, how will anyone know it belongs to YOUR website? It really is just a matter of sitting down and using common sense...

If your website is www.lneedsunshie.com then it follows that each page will follow on after the url

www.lneedsunshine.com/pagename1.html
www.lneedsunshine.com/pagename2.html

etc etc etc....

It all follows through very simply when you think about it...

www = world wide web
lneedsunshie.com = the address connected to the www
pagename1 = the page attached to the address attached to the www

The backbone connected to the thigh bone the thigh bone connected to the knee bone the knee bone connected to the... etc etc etc..... Just connect it all up so it links togther...

l am thankful for everyones help really and do not wish to sound ungrateful, from my point of view it is frustating for someone like me and thousands of others who has never done anything like this before and want it to work straight away and cannot understand why it wont after you have spent nearly two weeks on your webpage and you cannot view it on the internet and you feel stupid for even asking the sillest of questions. For the record l cannot view the tutorials as much as l want to l live in the campo (countryside) in Southern Spain and l dont have a landline and are using a moblie dial up and the reception is as about much use as a chocolate teapot but l can email and that is it! so trying to download even one of the tutorials will take me a day, l did go to the internet cafe to view how to make the webpage, anyway enough of my chat. l am smiling now l have managed to upload some of the pages and are working on the rest, the only thing l am concerned now is that you say my pages should be linked to each other, how do you do that?

You want someone to be able to get from each of your pages to whichever of your other pages they want to see easily.
You can do it numerous ways: In BV, click on the icons which read 'navigation' or 'menu bar' or 'text menu' and create your links on your home page (index).
Place this in a prominent location of the page (you have them on both sides of the Hello or Hola paragraph on your Home page). Simply put them on the same spot on every page.
Then create a link to each page you have published.
Then open each of your pages (in BV) and from your index page, left-click on that menu and then click Edit - Copy at the top. Then go to the next page and click Edit - Paste. This will put that exact menu on that page in the exact same spot as it is on the index page.
Make sure you have all the links right on the index page before you do this.
After you've done this on a page, create your text for that page working around the menu.
Your top link would probably be to your index page(perhaps HOME since that is common) and that would take the viewer to
http://www.Ineedsunshine.com
The next link might be to your Studios page (which page should be named 'studios' and the link would be http://www.Ineedsunshine.com/studios.html.
Continue that for each page.
The words on the link that show on the page do not have to be what the page is named. For example, your link can show to read "Villas with pools" as long as the LINK is to http://www.Ineed sunshine.com/villaswithpools.html - provided that is what you named the page . You can link any word or phrase.
If you have text on the page you want to link, simply Highlight the text and click on the icon at the top which shows a globe with a chain link under it. Then insert the http://www... for the page link. Then when someone clicks on that word or phrase they will also go to that page.

Then from each of your pages a viewer can click and go to any of the pages and never have to hit the "Back' button on their browser.
Go to anyone's link in their signatures on these posts and you will see there are many ways to do this, but the concept is basically the same.

You already have a navigation system set up already at the top of your home page. You have even linked them all up so not sure what you don't understand.

So, for your 'one beds' link you have put:

http://www.lneedsunshine.com/onebeds.html

So, as long as your 'one beds' page is called 'onebeds' it will work, it is that simple really, I think you are trying too hard.
