    Default Publishing changed pages

    Domain name is www.lightthefireministries.org.za.

When publishing pages I have edited, some show the changed page, others do not change. I have inserted the following <META HTTP-EQUIV="Pragma" CONTENT="no-cache"> in the page html and even deleted my browser history. To no avail. The pages I am having problems with on the site are:

    http://www.lightthefireministries.or...teachings.html,
    http://www.lightthefireministries.or...teachings.html
    http://www.lightthefireministries.or...#39;s_pen.html

    Please help!

Hi, assuming you are publishing to the right area, it is very hard for us to say without knowing what the difference was between the original & new pages.

    Hi Chris,

I am publishing to the public_html folder. I have solved my problem on 2 of the pages, but not on the page: http://www.lightthefireministries.or...#39;s_pen.html. The changes I made eventually did reflect, but then suddenly a picture that was there before, just disappeared and will not come back. I noticed that this page loads with an error in Internet Explore 7. Error as follows:

    Line:168 Char:23 Error:Expected ')' Code:0

The page loads correct in both Google Chrome and Firefox.

I am also curios as to the publishing option in BlueVoda. When publishing there are 3 different options under files: Publish all files, Publish HTML files only and Publish changed files only. What is the difference and which one should I use?

    Thanks,

    Stephanus

Hi, all showing up at my end fine in FF & IE.
The options part can be handy if you have a page full of images & you only want to updated some text. (Publish changed files only) Saves uploading all the images again.

Sometimes, "Publish changed files only" will not update a page if a new text box or image has been added.
When this happens, use update all files................
