Thread: publishing question

I'm trying to publish a temporary page at look4rule.com.
I keep recieving an internet error exception message 12014.
The request to connect and log on to the FPT server could not be completed because the supplied password is incorrect.
I've checked it and double checked it a few times but the message is the same.
What am I doing wrong?

all 3 must be correct for you to publish.

When you create a FTP account they don't ask for your server number. So how and where do I check for it? As you can probably can tell I'm very much a newbie and maybe a little tired,lol. Thanks

Look in the welcome letter you received when you signed up (paid) for a VodaHost account. You did sign up for a hosting plan right?

My IP address in my log in details mailed to me and my shared IP address in my control panel are the same.

server number
username
password

all 3 must be correct for you to publish not ftp

You will see where to enter these when you click on the publish icon
at the top of your bluevoda screen.

And the first page you should publish should be named
index
and nothing else.

Dum FTP, lol.

Dont sweat it, your not the first and you wont be the last either...............lol

rename your underconstruct.html to
index
and then republish, as that is the first page that any browser looks for.

Well David I redid the page and it is now titled index.bvp I published it and now it reads untitled page, guess I'll wacth more videos and register for the beginners forum,thanks.

Right click on a blank area of your page, click properties and "title" your page as you like, here you can use Caps and spaces. Just try to make the title relavent to the page.
