Thread: Website coming on but one page Arghhh Wont Load

Hi,
HAppy New to Everyone.
Been out of action a while and just came back to website with fresh motivation. But one page wont load up and i don't know why checked and rechecked it but still nothing.
Probably something silly to a fresh pair of eyes.

Your contact page loads up OK !!!

Paul, it's an easy problem to fix. Like David says, your page loads just fine--it's your link to it from your main page that's messed up. Your link says www.billinghamcharitytrophy.com/www.billinghamcharitytrophy.comcontact_us.html

Just remove the extra stuff and you're good to go.

I'm sorry where do i change this?
It is saved as contact_us as the file name and the page is called the same.
Also in the menu bar it is saved as simply www.billinghamcharitytrophy.com/contact_us.html

You need to change the link to that page, I would check you others to be sure they are ok too. If you go into tools/verify links it will help to identify bad links on the page (in BV)

When you click the verify links tool, when the box opens there is a button at the lower left that says verify links click it and it will check them.

Thank you for the coment about my site. It is for our local ball league so it it not very formal in design, but everyone liked it. As for the photos, there are many different picture viewers out there that you can use with BV. I use JAlbum, it has many different layouts to choose from, pretty simple to use and will upload right to your domain. Good Luck

HAve done this the other pages off the menu on the index page come up , but the contact us one is completely missing.
I'm no simpleton but this has totally got me stumped.

Change it to www.billinghamcharitytrophy.comcontact_us.html and it'll work.

Hi, Paul

Open your home page in BV and rt click on your "Contact Us" button. That'll open a window where you can select "Properties." Then just edit the incorrect URL, save and republish. It's the same way you built the links in the first place, you're just re-editing this one.

Hee hee, no worries. But here's a way you can see for yourself...

Click here to go to your main page: http://www.billinghamcharitytrophy.com

Now simply run your mouse across your buttons without clicking. Each time your cursor touches a button the link will be spelled out at the lower left corner of your browser screen (IE and FF). As you can see, your contact us button has the extra stuff in it that causes the problem. If it's not that way then I'm crazy.
