I know whats wrong just need to know how to fix it

When I revise a page and publish it, it goes to Index.html (starts with capital I) When the site is accessed it goes to index.html (with a small i) It looks like I have 2 index.html files and I guess I need to know how to get rid of one of them or whatever I need to do to fix this problem.

It should be lower case. Go to either your cpanel file manager or use blue ftp and delete the Index one.

Hi, I just noticed too that you have every page of your website opening in a new window .. this can be annoying for users so you really ought to think about going back to those links and setting the target a bit differently .. you currently must have the target of the links set to _blank .. remove that .. leave that target area empty .. its also nice as well if you center the pages, on page properties, tick center in browser .. and dont forget to republish for these changes to take effect ...

Karen Mac,

I don't know how to get rid of the Index.html. I deleted it from both the c-panel (4 times and it just keeps coming back) and the FTP. If you go into my site at http://profitinforeclosures.com you get the old version and if you type Index.html behind it you get the revised version. This is driving me crazy.
I also have a problem with the hosting unless I come in from a different way. If I just go in and click on a post subject the page is garbled like a copy is on top of the original but offset a little bit.
How do I get rid of Index besides the ways you said which hasn't worked for me.

hmmm .... well those are the two ways of deleting those files ..

are you sure you are in the correct directory? Do you have more than one domain in your account??

Thanks for trying to help but I never did figure it out. I just ended up wiping out the index page and making a new one. I figured 8 hours was enough time trying to figure it out.
I appreciate the quick responses once I figured out how to read the post without them being gargled.

You could put in a support ticket to have your account reset.. that would wipe out everything and you could republish from scratch.
