Thread: design issue

hi my domain is www.fmspanishpromotions.com

i have a problem with my website that for the life of me i cannot work out it just doesnt make sense why its doing it.

i have three domain each pointing to the same server ,
www.fmspanishpromotions.com
www.fmspanishpromotions.info
www.fmspanishpromotions.us
the problem arises when i try to search for my properties from the property link on the .com site. when you click on the search for more properties there are 20 or more pages in this catorgory but they are not showing, it says there are no propertys matching my search, which is untrue as i know there there, as if you go on to the .us site and do the same search the properties all show up.

im really stumped to know why this is doing this i do hope you great people out there can help me, many thanks debby.

Whilst I am checking out your problem, you should check your .com
index/opening page.
Its as if you had copied the whole page and then pasted it on top of the original.............really messy.

What search terms should we use to see this problem
and please indicate which properties are not coming up(give us some clues)

It is probably because there is only one link from the "Properties" menu button.

How does your visitor find the rest of the 19 other pages??????????????

You could design a page with 20 thumbs and then link the thumbs to the right pages from a landing page or a site map or the index page????

thanks for reply 1st problem ; do you mean the index page is really messy, as when i look at it its looks ok, so your advice would be apprciated on this one.

2nd problem; ill tell you how i get to the search pages, on www.fmspanishpromotions.com go to the property link button on the left , 3rd button, then this takes you to the property search, you do not need to put anything in any of the criteria boxes just click on search right at the buttom page, this will then say you have found 267 properties and 23 pages 1,2,3,4, etc, but when you then click on page 2, it says no results found.
They are definatly there, as when you do the exact same search on the www.fmspanishpromotions.us it finds all the pages.

I see that you have fixed your search problem (good post zuriatman)
but you may have a small problem with your link back to your index page to
your main site(home goes to your us index page)

On the screen matter, here is a screenshot of what I see using FF and opera. (click the Debs name)

It looks OK though when using IE

hi thank david that does look messy i had no idea it looked like that, i have looked at the page html and there is a 2 copies of all html, how would be the easiest way to delete the 2nd page, i dont want to delete something i need.

i also have not been able to sort out the search problem yet, but i have noticed that the index page is different from the .com index page. should i delete the .us index page. ?

You have to select each item on the page 1 at a time and then delete it.
If you find that you have deleted an item in error, use the UNDO icon.

I can use the search as you have described now and I can see items on page 2 and more when I checked it today, so I assumed that you hd sorted that one out.

DO NOT delete the us index page (every folder/directory must have an index page)
Change the links on all your UK site to the index page on your main site.

hi david, im still unable to sort out the propblem i have in finding the rest of the property pages when i visit fmspanishpromotions.com site i have tried and tried to sort it but to no avail, all is ok with the .us site as this was made seperatly, do you have any suggestions. ps think i have corrected the double image problem too. many thanks debby
