Thread: I've published the home page...how do I see the other pages?

I've published my home page good (http://www.y-p-w.co.uk/). When I publish the other pages where do they go to? The picture of the white ship is meant to be on the news page and when I published the news page it over writed the image on the home page...help!

Hi,

Keep your public_html neat and clean by opening a new folder for each activity.

Publish the files for each activity in their named folder.

This way your public_html will not be a mess of files and pics all jumbled into one.

Example:

In public_html create new folder ie, "travel", or "stocks" or "shop" etc.

Publish your "index" file to= "public_html/"

Then publish your other relevant pages to "public_html/travel" or whatever.

Publish all your relevant pages on travel to "public_html/travel"
Publish all relevant pages on stocks to "public_html/stocks" etc.

Each and every page must have a link to each other. This is done by placing the full url in properties. This is a sample of a full url [address]

http://www.y-p-w.co.uk/travel/london.html

I'm a bit lost...where do I create a folder called public_html?

Its already been created as thats the one you published your home page to. When you create more pages, just publish to the same place.

I'm still confused...on each page I just click publish yes...but when they are published were are they? How do I create a folder in public_html and were do I find it? Sorry if it is really simple but I'm not a computer wiz

Your public_html is a folder in it self. So when you publish, the page will automatically go to you public_html folder. If you want to create another folder for some reason? You would go to your public_html folder in your cpanel & the create another folder. (Also called a sub directory). Then you would publish to public_html/newfoldername/ .

Login to your cPanel, thats where your public_html files and folders are.

To goto your cPanel open your BlueVoda and select "Control Panel" on the bottom tool bar.
