Question I dont want people to see it yet

Can you publish your pages but make it to where no one can see it yet?

Yes, just add a new folder to your public_html folder. You can name the new folder something like testsite. Then when you publish, add the extra file path to the folder area in the publish box.
    IE: public_html/testsite
Then to view your site enter
    www.yoursite.com/testsite/pagename.html
Of course to link everything you will have to add the extra folder to all your links and change everything back again once your ready to go live.

Simpler just to publish normally and work on it live.

You could also password protect your Public_html directory with you as the only user, which will allow you to test layouts and links, before going public.

Thank you everyone. I will try the password protect.
