Default I am trying to recover my hard drive

I want to save certain files on my hard drive to CD-R so that I can recover it, but when I copy the .bvp files they end up becoming internet explorer files and I'm afraid I won't be able to copy the files over to the recovered disk. What should I do?

    Thank you

Did you associate them with internet explorer to open? That could be why. Make sure you select blue voda as the application to open them.

Karen, it's not really allowing me to do that. Initially, the pop-up box opens and asks me if I'd rather open or save the file, so I push open then, an error box comes up saying that IE has experienced a problem and needs to shut down.

    Any other ideas?

    Thanks

No.. it doesnt really make sense..unless you have a virus and thats why you are trying to back up? Can you open the files in BV?

Yes, I DO have a virus and that is EXACTLY why I am restoring my backup. HOWEVER, I rechecked to see whether I could open BV as the app to get to the file and I figured out that I had messed up earlier when I was trying with the right-click, sooooo I CAN open the saved file (on the CD-R) with the BV app.

    Thank you very much.
