Thread: Fonts changing when publishing through Vista

Hi, I am publishing my site using Windows Vista. The font I am using on my website is Segoe Print and when I view the published page using my laptop (Vista) it looks perfect. However, when I view the page using my main PC (XP) the font has changed to a standard font (poss Times New Roman or Arial) and the alignment is way out. The same seems to be happening when other non-Vista users are viewing the page.

Is there something I am doing wrong? Or is there a way of ensuring that the font used is the font viewed regardless of Windows running?

Hi, always best to use web safe fonts so that everyone sees the same. There is a good Chance that you desk top hasn't got the Segoe Print font installed & is reverting to a standard font.
This will possibly happen with your visitors.

Gutted - I had a feeling that it would be a case of the fonts not being supported on other computers - and it took me ages to choose the right font :o(

I have created maybe 10-15 pages so far for my website which are yet to be published. Is there a way of changing the font of every piece of text on each page without having to highlight each one individually? I fear your answer will be no and I will have to spend the next few days working on this...

Unfortunately i don't think there is a way round this. I tried changing the default font on my pages & it will change anything new that i place on the pages, but not the existing.
But if its only 15 pages, it will only take a minute on each page to change.
