    Default Photos have become 'elongated'

www.ashtontrades.com 'click me' then try other nav buttons.

Photos are elongated to say the least

This only started last night. Any idea why (I changed nothing on them last night)

Jack, the photos seemed to be in proportion. Maybe when you click the picture to enlarge, the white borderline creates the illusion that the image is somehow dragged lengthwise but if examined closely, it seemed proportionate. Great site, you only need to choose a better button for the menubar without the BV seal.

Yes I see what you mean

The only thing I can think of is the file names of the images.

    eg look at this one

    http://www.ashtontrades.com/Craiglockhart,%20Edinburgh%20Flat%202%20Hall%201.1 .jpg

Your internet browser has to decifer that?

I would rename that image craiglockhart_edinburgh_flat_202.jpg

Reinsert it into BV, then republish.

Save your images the same way as you would save your pages. No capitals and no spaces.

For your information: Craiglockhart House was the place Siegfried Sassoon and Wilfred Owen convalesced after Craiglockhart War Hospital - a different building just to the south (now owned by Napier University).

Cant see the distortion off hand, but the pages have major side scroll with the main image at 1395px wide & no page properties set up. Should be around 980 max wide.

I see the enlongated images (click me/flat1, flat2, etc.) looks like you stretched the lightbox with the blue resizing handles. That and/or you copied and pasted the light box from page to page making changes along the way, totally confused the program. Try removing the effected light boxes, reinsert fresh ones on each page, save and republish.

lol! I see the click me & thought it was the link in this forum.
Yes they look a touch long. Can only suggest doing the pages images again.

Well I've renamed all 218 pix omitting spaces and capital letters.

That's taken me all afternoon and I'm going to the pub to watch Scotland Iceland.

I'll make changes and publish tomorrow.

Have a good evening and thanks for your assistance.
