Thread: Only Index Page Will Publish - Want to Cry!

So frustrated, been working on website for hours and am having problems.

I have published three pages 'successfully' I'm told, but only the index page is showing. If you click on the links to the other two pages they don't work. When I view the pages, and test the links in the default browser they work fine. Your help would be much appreciated.

Open your index page in BlueVoda goto "Tools" and select verify links.

If the links are validated then there really is nothing wrong with your hyperlinks.

If it says Url not found! Then highlight or select the link and then click on the hyperlink icon [the globe] on the top toolbar.

Verify whether what you have entered are exactly the same as the links I gave you above.

Also check whether you had selected "http" or "php". It should be "http".

After you have checked the above and it still does not work check where or to which folder in "public_html/"did you publish to????????????

I have saved the pages as

ilnrequest
innocencepage

all lower case and no spaces.

Thanks for responding. Hope you can help. Forgot to mention this is my second site. Have double-checked and am publishing as should public_htmls then new site.

If you look at the 2nd link Zuriatman gave you above.
The link and the page name differs.

Change the innocence part of the link to innocencepage.html

Or change the page name to innocence

Thanks for responding. Checked my links but they're not verified. What do I need to do to verify? Does it make a difference in the way I save them when the have pictures/images in them?

Saved as innocence but regrettably it's still not working....

I have done links exactly as you said, when I click verify links the ilnrequest is verified but the innocence one says 'URL not found', when I close and go back in again neither are verified! Any advise would be very much appreciated.

Just remember to publish the pages again once you have renamed them.

Make sure the link on the index page matches the page name it is linking to.

Three things I've noticed:
1. Any reason why the help page is php and the others are html?
2. Don't forget to link back from the help page as well.
3. It is recommended that when you link to the other pages, that they open in the same window and not in new windows like you have them now. To do that: In the link dialog leave the target field blank (empty) if they html pages. Do do select _blank from the dropdown.
