Thread: Publishing, Index pg ok but others not working

HI everyone, Newbie here. I have read all I can find for publishing but no help yet. My index page works well but the other pages come up not found. The URL does not work in the test link area. I have checked all typing and i believe I have it all correct. I have it in public_html in the ftp. Everything seems to be ok for what I have read. Help please. this private wants to grow up and be a General some day. hahahaha

Hi,

Your urls look OK.

Open your index page in BV, goto Tools>Verifylinks.

If it is validated the address are correct.

If it says not found then there is something wrong with it.

The 2nd probability is when you publish your url was incorrectly entered.

Check the above out first.

I have checked everything as you said, to no avail.
What or where do I go next?

OpenBV and open your index page.

Highlight Portable 5000 and goto hyperlink properties

Checkout whether the link is exactly the same as the one below?

Yes sir it is. I checked all my links and they all seem to be ok.

Also, when I name my pages, do I leave the html tag, such as features.html or leave it off. I thought I saw someone say to leave it off becuase BV will add it when I publish pages.

When saving your designed webpages you should name it in preparation for it to be published.

Name your pages same as index. For your features page.............

The file name should only be 'features" the .html file extension will be added on automatically by BV.

However when you add the http:// hyperlinks in properties you must fill in the full url with .html

OK, Ive done all that right then. So where do I go from here to try and get my pages published. Should I send in a trouble ticket?

OK General,

I went back to every page and every link on each page to make sure they were as correct as I know how. Then I republished each one of them starting with the Index pg first. No change. Index still comes up but no other pages. Also should the index page have www.airpurificationforhome.com/index.html after it in each place it comes up?
