Thread: My Website address does not work!!

Hi,

www.fir-view.co.uk

My website used to come up on the 1st page of page rank when i typed in appropriate search terms, now i can not even find it if i type in www.fir-view.co.uk in the address bar! it simply comes up:

403 forbidden:

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /facilities.html on this server.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I have republished my webpages successfully but still no joy,

Your domain side looks fine, but that all we can check here.

I think i have managed to crack it,...(with alot of help from people from google!)

Any way for anyone else who experiences this problem i:

1) opened up my FTP file manager in bluevoda
2) Downloaded the .htaccess file in my public_html folder
3) BACKED IT UP! on my c:\ drive saving it as .htaccess1
4) Opened it up using notepad and deleted everything (leaving it blank) saving it as .htaccess
5) Uploaded it back into my public_html folder using FTP file manager

And it now works when i type www.fir-view into the address bar!!

now i just have to reverify everything with google and hopefully it should get back amongst the listing :)
