    Default menu bar help please

    Hi everyone

    http://trainingyogateachers.com

I have a drop down menu. Home ... About ... etc.
Under " About" I have a button going to "General Philosophy" heading,
    http://trainingyogateachers.com/philos.html

The index file and the philos files are published in public_html

The problem: At the bottom of philos file I have a link trying to get back to "About". The "About" button is not a file?
I am aware that the link verify shows no URL found.
Having an epithany over this one. Will some please take a look and advise.

    Many thanks
    Mike

    Well you have a choice.

Either you create an about.html or remove the about.html link
    from About.

If you create one, just have two links and a brief description of the two
items. Right now both About are pointing towards the html file and that does not exist.

    So it would be
General Philosophy with a link to its page
with its brief description in the form of introduction and
Biography of Monika with a link to its page
with its brief description in the form of introduction.

about.html will be good for the visitors and especially for search engines.

    If not,
then I suggest you convert the About into a passive text with no link.
And then repeat the same for the about below.

    I would do about.html like I mentioned above. That's how I would
implement it. Let the visitor read a brief introduction to the topic.

    Hi Mike,

Why link to about if it does not exist?

Second, your link says "Back" if I got there from "home" it should take me back to home!

This brings up another problem, if I got 2 the "General Philosophy" page form another place on ur site, then the "back" link would have to know where I came from 2 take me back again and not to home or about( this would have to be a very smart link 2 know where everybody came from)

Tip: Design your pages and link them in the end ( I have a feeling u are doing a bit of design as you go.)

Have the following code in your html box in BV

    <form> <input style="color: #0000FF; font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px; background-color: #f6f6f6; left:2px;width:183px;padding: 10px 1px 10px 3px; border-right: 1px solid #c7e9e9; border-bottom: 1px solid #c7e9e9;" onclick="javascript: history.go(-1)" type="button" value="Back To Where Came From">
    </form>

You can change "Back To Where Came From" to a different message of your choice. Don't change anything else. Well! maybe the background color and font size, the width, the padding. What else is there. But not the logic.

So wherever you came from, from up above or down below, it will bring you back to where you came from. Doesn't get lost in the way. I repeat don't change the logic.

It's a family recipe. It loves a menu-driven website. Always open in the same window. Keep it to yourself. Don't tell anybody.

This can go at the bottom of every page or wherever you see it fit on your page.

I use it on my website and it works.

Ah - I understand... had a sneaky feeling regarding the "About.html" page and the penny dropped immediately. The responses give me a number of options and workabouts which are great. I also like the secret html code - I'll use it and "mums the word" ... thank you for the wonderful support. Your a great group!

Allow the active x to work in preview and then you can see it.
