Thread: Publishing Problem - IP not listed??

Hi everyone,

I have a couple websites that are ready to go, but when I went to publish them from the website builder - it asks to select your IP from a dropdown menu.

The IP I was given in my Login/Welcome Information email is not listed... what do I do now??

Try to upload by using an FTP Client such as CuteFTP.

A Free one which is very powerful, available for Mac and Windows is FileZilla

Catch 22! Best to re-download BV 10.2 & see if it repopulates the ip list with new numbers.
You could download the new BV11, but i was under the impression that this was still in its beta form & i am not sure if to recommend this as i haven't seen a post to the contradicted this. But don't upload your BV pages with ftp as they wont work. Give the 1st option a try.

You cannot ftp bv sites to the server. You have to use the publish for it to work and convert the pages to html.

If your ip is NOT listed.. first try moving the cursor UP as sometimes it defaults about 1/4 of the way down. If its NOT there you wil have to download a NEWER version.

Thank you all for your help - you guys are quick!! :)
I downloaded the latest version of the builder, and voila, the IP was there!

I am now having another problem if anyone wants to take a stab at it - I am helping my brother set up a website for his band and everything has published fine and is showing up in cpanel and at the actual website except for one page. I looked in cpanel and it was showing up as a .php instead of .html so I changed it to .html in BV builder and then re-published - but it is still showing a 404 error when I try to access the page.... any ideas?

Would need the site address.
Also if the page was .php? it may of been a page with a form on & this has to be .php.
PS. Did you download BV 10 or 11?

Oh, okay - it does have a form on it, so I guess that's why its .php at least... anyway, here's the address:

** Also - please be kind - the website and music on it were made by a bunch of young kids, soo.... be gentle. :)


ETA: I've now got version 10.1

The media page is working on this link http://www.syrinxrock.com/Media.php . But the music files are to large for the page to open quickly. (need to be reduced in kb's)
