Thread: cannot fix problems, please help.

Hello all,
My site is www.calzicards.com
I had the same problem as dantewilliams with no images showing, have followed the advice given by Ladyeye but still no images.

Also christmas menu bar button is not showing on index page,
also info page does not show when link is clicked,

On birthday page, no images and no menu bar buttons.

Can anybody see what I may have done wrong or suggest how to proceed to fix these problems. Apologies if this has duplicated anyone else but I have been round and round the forums.

Have you uploaded your images? and where?

Looks like maybe you have enabled hotlinks in your cpanel. You will need to disable this for images to show up.

I have uploaded my images from my pictures file to my bv page, checked preview and published.

I have not used my control panel yet so will go and check.

ok ur images seem to be loading on the first page; but waaay slow. they r too big. Check out Chris´ post 2 learn more about this and 2 download BV´spix-resizer.

Hi, Have got index page with pics on now, disabled hotlinks and renamed, saved and published, thanks Karen,
Thanks also travlinman you confirmed that I now need to resize pics.

Still probs with info page, have checked links, saved and published,
page will load if I type in URL but not from menu bar on index page, have I missed something? Page is in public-html as information.html.

ok, that explains it....u named the file information.html but ur link points 2 info.html, not the same.

Check it again. The mouse over Information shows info.html on the home page.

Thanks Shafi, I did check again, but it was as I had said, I think when I originally changed it from "info" the change did not publish so I pulished again while pressing F5 lots and lots and it now seems to be ok.

As I had told u previously, that ur link was pointing to info.html

Use Tools "verify links" in BV to check your links.

Also, once you have published ur page pass the mouse over the button and look in the lower left corner of ur taskbar to see where it points to. U know as what u saved then, see if the names match.

Yes I did check the rollover as you said and found it was pointing to info, but the typed link on my bv page was information, thats why i republished and now the rollover says information. Sorry if I did'nt make myself clear.
