another publishing problem

hi,
it's been a while since I successfully published my first small site (gemporium.biz).
alongside I've had a few homepages just sitting waiting development...

I've started working on one- my main bv domain name, sjs-artandsoul.com. there was just a home page, but now I've changed it to a proper page, named it, and published it...loads of times. It will not show the new page.
I have tried the following...
the page name is sjs-artandsoul.com/index the page is saved in the builder as just index)
I have tried using f5
I have downloaded and used ccleaner
I have added the "no cache" code in the html

what have I missed??
I do notice that in my control panel all the other homepages/sites have a cgi-bin added in their folder, but sjs doesn't...it sits alone in the public/html section.

I think the system has beeen upgraded since I last did a build, and I'm a bit rusty, but this seems to need more work than I know how to fix...
any suggestions,

the new page has a background, menu bar, text and link bar...

sorry, anither thing I've just noticed...
the page you have seen always comes up untitled in the browser tab...
if i hit f5 it quickly goes to sjs......./index.html, but reverts to untitled again.

the new page is titled, as index...I've also put in metadata etc, so I don't think I've missed anything there...? worked through all the tabs in succession.

any suggestions?

Hi Sharon,

One thing else you can do is

Using your BV FTP, connect to your server.

Note the date and time on the file.
When you publish an instance of the page,
note the date and time, especially the time.

See if it changes.

Pressing F5 to clear your cache will not help
here, because we all see the same page

so.. you need to delete all INDEX files off the server and start again.

ok,
i only found the index.html...i put in a search for the php file , it came up not found.
I'm not that hot on techie stuff, but found my ftp accounts, there's a log that correctly shows i published quite a few times last night, and once this morning...
but , if i click to go to the sjs ftp acct, I get the server not found ...404... page. is that right? what else do i need to do?

another add-on...
i eventually found a php file and deleted it...
i removed every index file i could find, and republished various index pages...
i now find...if i type www.sjs-artandsoul.com or sjs..../index etc, it still goes to the untitled text page....but...
if i put www.sjs-artandsoul.com/sjs-artandsoul.com/index it comes up with the proper page.
I have tried to find the wrong page in my file editor, and it's so hidden i can't find it, perhaps the new development gives a clue?

It seems that u r publishing 2 a sub-directory (folder) called sjs-artandsoul.com in ur domain www.sjs-artandsoul.com and not 2 the root dir. of ur domain.
When u publish, if this is ur main domain, u should be publsihing 2 public_html
if it is a add-on domain, u should be publishing 2 public_htl/uradd-on domainname

or if u r publishing to a special folder....which seems 2 b u have done.

Delete ur sjs-artandsoul.com folder (with all files in it)in the sjs-artandsoul directory

republish all ur files

P.S. ur link above; http://www.sjs-artandsoul.com/sjs-artandsoul.com/index is missing the .html

deleted the folder, and just republished to public/html...
seems to be there and ok now.
