Cool Text size different on publishing

1.When I design the page with a text field, the published page shows the same text with a much smaller size. so, I need to oversize the text in BlueVoda to get a resulting published page of about the size I needed. this is getting frustrating as the text overlap on each other when designing. is there anyone with the same situation and a solution?

2.I've noticed that, if I edit a short text on a certain page with the option"Publish this text as an image", somehow a rollover effect on ANOTHER page would get spoiled(the first rollover state would be replaced by an image of the short text". Any hint on this?

Following some complaints about the form editing of former BV files in version 11 and some other "bugs", I'm reluctant to move to that version at least for now. Is BlueVoda working on these issues and can we expect to safely move to the new version without "cold sweating"?

Does this have any relation with the resolution of the display settings? Suprising that no one has this issue, I keep getting two kind of text (display size), the smaller one being in the internet browser. It could be about half the point that in BlueVoda design program.

Its most likely your browser settings and screen resolution yes. Check your browser setting for MEDIUM or NORMAL perhaps it got switched to small?

Hi Karen,
I notice that, in IE, there are options to select the text size. Right now it's medium. I guess it was already on that size when the browser was installed and that should be the default for most users out there who don't fiddle with these settings. The equivalent modifications in FF would be in Tools>Options>Content>text size-right now it's 16 and every other page that I browse appear to have normal text size. So how could this setting be abnormal when viewing my website? Besides, I don't notice any change in letter size on my website when changing the browser's text size even if the change is apparent on other sites(I've tested with Yahoo.com).

In IE also, on changing the browser's text sixe in a random page(e.g. yahoo) the size of letter do change from smallest to large. In my website, there's no change at all.

Also do you have a solution for the problem of some text been replaced by another page's text which has the setting. Pse see on the complete bottom of my index page.

Oh, sorry for the last missing word. By "setting" I meant "Publish this text as an image"

Did you copy and paste the "text as image" to another page?

Dont use the mouse to copy and paste it... if you want it there.

No, I did not copy and paste any object or text. The graphic/or text just appeared and that happens randomly to any text.

I have to say its impossible for it to randomly occur without you getting it on the page SOMEHOW. It just cant jump around all by itself. It cant move around on the server either. No such thing as poltergeist electrical blimps.

Thank God there's no such thing as computer poltergeists!
But I'm trying hard to find out of anything that's haunting or spoiling my work.

Well, I'm sending you two snapshots of my index in BlueVoda and and you can see the page as it appears in a browser.

Please have a look at this page to see
www.island-i.tv/capturepage1.html

Note how the text is oversized and overlap each other. There's no graphic at the bottom of the page also. Now compare with the actual published page.

And im telling you that the image IS THERE behind your shape or whatever because i can COPY it off there its named

bv1009.png

And i see how it lookes in other browsers.. you must simply allow more or less room to make it view across the board. On your page go to view, and object outlines.. tick that and see if you can find it.

Hi,
I've republished the same page without any change. Now, the graphic doesn't appear at the bottom. As I told you, this thing happens randomly and there's no specific way to reproduce it.
However you can go to the following page http://www.island-i.tv/intkiosk_com.html and see the second button named "Dvd products". The graphic which bizarrely appears on the rollover effect has been used only in another page http://www.island-i.tv/sega.html.

Also could you give an explanation for the difference in text sizes.

Ok, i've got a clue to the first problem of difference in text sizes. The setting in windows to adjust font dpi size to any other than the default will change the "DISPLAYED" font size in BlueVoda designer. So the screen fonts size should be set to the default setting.

The random and bizarre appearance of some graphics from one page to another is still not resolved though. See the links in previous post.

And im tellling you its because you have cloned them, or used your mouse to copy and paste them to the page. They cannot appear randomly.

Hi,
From your reaction, it's clear that you won't accept there some kind of problem in the program. How could I copy and paste a graphic on a rollover state. One state show the button and the second state is replaced by another graphics. Could you reproduce a rollover with this abnormality in any way? The first rule to solve solve something is to first see the problem in it.
I'd really encourage any other user facing something like that to come up and mention about it.

If you cloned or copy and pasted the menu this would occur. Not just the graphic.. a rollover is a graphic by the way..

Please TRY to accept that this may indeed be the issue. Copy and paste it from another page using Cntrl c and contrl v and then delete the one on the page.

Hi,

I've been doing some reasearch into why these graphics are getting replaced by other one. Here's what I found:

bluevoda program generates names (dual names for rollover buttons) in the html codes of each object.

Two seperate graphics objects may have the same name in the generated html codes which result in the final published page showing the same graphic instead of two different ones. The page which is published the last has the graphic object showing in priority. For instance, graphic A in page A would have a name like BV01024 in its html code and graphic B in page C would have the same name generated. As both pages and their graphics are hosted in the same public_html folder and their can be only one object with that name, one of the pages would display its graphic wrongly.

I don't know if this issue has been resolved in the new version BV11, this should retain the attention of technical dept.
