Thread: Help with changes

My web site has been up and running for about 4 months www.trapperscabolist.com
Home page plus 4 other pages. I have made numerous changes to ALL the pages over that period. They all worked and were re-published. Last week I made chages to all the pages, all worked but 1 (BEST). It will not accept changes or deletions. I open up the page on Blue Voda, make the changes, go to "file save as" (shows the changes), then go to "preview in browser" (shows changes), I then go publish (shows that it was published), BUT the page does not change. What Now!!!! Need Help!!!

Thats right. I have tryed to delete Casanova by Italian and nothing happens. How do I solve the problem

Do you also have the publishing area set to publish all files, & if this is your only site are you publishing to Public_html with the IP 67.228.244.197

The publishing is set to publish all files and its publishing to Public_html and the IP is correct. The other 4 pages accept changes, just the one page will not accept changes. It did until last week!! 4 out of 5 will. Last week 5 out of 5 did

One other thing to try, is to completely delete the page on your sever & then republish your new one. After that i am at a bit of a loss to what it could be.
I have checked that it hasn't changed to php & a combinations of spellings with upper & lower case letters but with no joy.

How do I delete the page on my server.

You can login to your server & delete it. Or more quickly in BV main menu>Tools>FTP Manager & login to your server. Find the file in right hand column, right click on file & delete. (Make sure no others are hi-lighted as you don't get a 2nd chance)

How do I log onto my server, VERY new at this!!!!

Find your ip here http://www.vodahost.com/web-host-server-login.htm
Use you sites name & password to login.
Under File manager area click on "File manager" then click on the pop up box to OK. Scroll down the files until you find the file you want & tick the box next to the file. Press the red cross that is in the head menu area.
Back to BV & re-publish your page.

Did just that, went back to BV, republished, showed it as published. Opened up the web site all tabs work except "BEST" getting "web site can not be found HTTP404. Now what?

It happened to me a number of times.
I published into the wrong folder.

Make sure you are posting to the right one before selecting
the publish button.

How do I determine the right folder (novice) Once I determine the rightfolder should I delete again and then republish into the right folder?

Amusing this is your only site the folder is public_html
