Thread: Error 12002

Ive been trying to publish for 2hrs this morning (5am-7amEST) and Im still recieving the time out error.
I had fixed it a while ago by going in and changing the time length - so I dont know now whats going on...but like most things as soon as I post this it will probably be fixed!..lol...
just giving a heads up -

A 12002 error is a timeout error. You might also receive this error
if you are trying to publish to the wrong IP address. Otherwise you
are receiving it because you are trying to upload a very large file, or
your internet connection speed is very slow.

The first thing you will want to do is run a pix resizer over all your
photgraphs to compress their size:

After you have done this, if the problem persists, try the below
work around:

1. In windows go to Start, select run and type: Regedit
2. Find this key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\BlueVoda 7\BlueVoda 7\Publish\
3. Add a new DWORD value with the name ConnectionTimeout
4. Enter the value in seconds for example 360 (default is 30)

I had already done that a while ago - Im now at (60de) should I go literally with (360)?

Im not trying to publish anything that has photos, what Im trying to publish is a simple form without script.
I also cannot connect with BFTP.

Any new software?? Check your firewall, it might be blocking you. You have
published in the past..work backwards...what has changed???

Moving to publishing forum. This is not a bug.

Ive looked at everything. Its now working. Im believing that Its the dial up? If there is a break in connection in any why will that cause that error? The phone lines up here are terrible, very bad, with many interferances. Maybe thats why I experince that periodically.
