Thread: os commerce problems - HELP!!

I just purchased my new domain last nite, www.ice-tropic.com and installed os commerce thru Fantasitico. I have several sites here with Vodahost and so this is an add-on domain.

I cannot access the admin area to configure the site and have no idea what to do next. I keep reading about the "catalog" folder, but do not see one for my site when I look at the files thru Blue FTP.

I tried to access the admin area using http://ice-tropic.com/admin and with the www. No dice. I've downloaded a free template from the Treasure Chest, but have not tried to install it yet.

When you first install osCommerce it asks you to specify the admins username and passwords, do you have these?

I do, and I gave the ones I use to log on to the control panel. These are the correct ones, no?

You might be trying to access it wrong (Url,user,pass, etc...), how did OsCommerce instruct you to login after installation?

Your best bet is to delete it and start over. I would consider using Soho, it is much easier and more user friendly.

Thanks *****. I opened a support ticket, as I could not access the https://vodahost.com/vbs to update my nameservers, I kept getting Page Cannot be Displayed. They graciously fixed it for me. I can get into OS Commerce now.
