Thread: oscommerce template

Hi,

I just installeded an oscommerce template from voda into a sub directory of http://www.colleenbawn.com and I am having problems with the text link "log yourself in" which when clicked on comes up as a 404 error "page cannot be found".

On the error page their is a text link to collenbawn.com but when you click on this it goes to a complete different website with an address of https://www.colleenbawn.com

I would be extremly grateful if someone out there couuld help me to fix this problem.Would it be a problem with the address in the script and if so which script and where????

sorry forgfot to say that the template is at http://www.colleenbawn.com/store and it is here you will find the link "log yourself in" which comes up as an error

Your link to the login page is wrong. Since you have installed the script in a folder called "store" the link should be " http://www.colleenbawn.com/store/login.php "instead of http://www.colleenbawn.com/login.php that it is now.

What i don't know, because i don't use OSCommerce, is if, it allows for user defined path or not. But i beleive it does. You probably need to enter your administrator page and set the path correctly.

Thanks Naval....how do I go about changing the login address as well as the other links " my account" , "checkout", "create an account" as all have this extra "s" in the address of which was in built in the template as I did not change anything that I know of?

Liam, do you have a SSL certificate for your site ? if yes, OSC will take into account and add the "s" . It will also do the same, even if you don't have a SSL, if it is set so. However, enter your administration page and see if you can set these options as well as the path (which should be /store/" or something simolar.
