Thread: Admin password

Hi again,

Thanks Sarah, I had my Oscommerce shopping cart installed by a webmaster from outside Vodahost. He then gave me an Admin login username and password
If I can't change them how do I prevent him from having access to my Store?

I don't understand why I can't change my Admin Password the same way I can on other web hosting accounts.

You can change you password in your control panel. You should always do this
after you give a stranger access to your account.

I know I can change my cpanel password but that doesn't stop anyone who has my Admin password login into that area. It's a different login and Password than my cpanel.
My original question was how do I change my Admin login info I know this can be done because I did it once before on a different Hosting account.I've just forgotten how I did it ;o(

Are you talking about your osCommerce admin area or your VodaHost accounts

Yes I am talking about the Oscommerce Admin. I clicked the link you sent but I didn't see anything about changing the Admin login password.
Which tutorial is it in?

are not the first person in the world who wants to know this. Just do a search

what Version of OScommerce is installed on Vodahost?
I have just found out how I changed the password on my other Oscommerce Admin. It seems the Admin windows are completely different. Yours is blue with 8 Actions my other one is Black with 11 actions on. one of which says "MY Account" which is where you change the password.
There must be a way to acces My Account in the Vodahost Oscommerce Admin area.
If nobody here knows what I'm talking about I guess my only hope is to post in the Oscommerce Forum as you suggested.
