Make your changes to the code in notepad, that is assuming you know what you are changing ... or you might need a code specialist like Naval or watdaflip to make changes for you ...

I put some code in the HTML of the properties in a white area. The HTML code moved into a grayed out field automatically and now will not allow me to delete it. How do I delete the old code that is in the grayed out box area??

Reverse your steps, right click your white area properties and delete the code.
If that doesnt work use dynomite.

Hi, if it’s any of the html that the BV software has produced you can’t change it unless you cut & paste it from the top area, make your changes & paste it back into an html box that you place on the front of a BVpage. Or do it via the edit file in your control panel at the server end. Good luck.

Can U do it from your Cpanel?
When U click on the file, details of the file will appear on the top right hand corner of the page.

Among the actions include "HTML", click on the html and a window will appear
at the top of the page in an html editor.

Can we clear the unwanted scripts using the Cpanel html editor?

Yes, you can. However, i don't understand why you should be doing it this way.. If these are scripts you have somehow embedded in your page, either by pasting the code in a html box or embedding it into the page html, just delete it from there.

I was referring to the "Properties">"Tag" window where U enter the scripts
Before head etc.

Once you paste the scripts in and save U cant delete them if U want to, from the Tag window.

Properties > Tag ? I suppose you mean View > Page HTML and then Start of Page, Inside Body etc. If yes, you can delete the code pasted in there. Simply reopen the same tag and delete the code you have pasted.

In properties > Tag (Meta Tags i suppose) you can also delete what you had pasted and type new meta tags or leave blank.

We have come to a confused state.

What I meant was How to edit the html scripts in BV and how to edit, delete the wrong or unwanted scripts in the html window in BV.



The Bv scripts in the upper Html window can be highlighted but not deleted or edited.

If you click those tabs, the scripts you have added are in there.. someplace. The other scripts are what you have generated in building the template or added to the page in shapes, layout etc.

Sometimes a mistake has been made by pasting a script into the body.

the question is how to remove the scripts that U just pasted in Blue Voda.

Where ever you pasted a script into BV, it just needs you to go back to where you pasted it in & remove it. IE: The body tab???

Look carefully at the snapshot of the Html window.

Once you have pasted the scripts in the white space below and click OK
The scripts are generated and can be viewed in the upper grey space.

How do U correct a mistake made in the generated scripts in the greyspace
as all of them can be highlighted but not deleted.

If I was to goto and click the body part, the scripts are no longer there.

[Please do not be be confused with using the script box. I can return to the script box and delete it.]

Hi, unless there is something wrong with your BV i am not sure i understand. If you have placed a script in the lower white window of this htmlarea & pressed ok, the window will close. Re-open the html window again & you should be able to delete it via the bottom white area again. Any script added via this area will actually show in the top window in blue to make life easy & see what you have added. All that is in gray text was added via the main pages boxes that you have placed on the main page area.

Then you go back to the page after you have closed the html window you displayed. Now on your page elements you simply click on the element or html box in question and hit the DELETE button on your keyboard. That will delete any script you have entered. You cant delete it in that properties or page html area.

If this may help:

The upper part is for viewing purposes only. You can not delete anything from there. What you need to do is this: click on the same tag that you clicked when you pasted the script (Start of Page, or Between head tag, or Inside body, you MUST click on the same one you had clicked when you pasted the script.)

As soon as you do so, the code you pasted will appear in the LOWER window, and you can edit or delete it from there.
