having a problem instaling a site map

Hi to all,

I have a problem installing my sitemap in to my web. I went to www.xml-sitemaps.com/ got my sitemap, upload the xml file to the public_html but when I go to the index page and click on www.mydomain.com/sitemap.xml I can see only an xml codes. Anyone any ideas
