| This is a desperate appeal! I cannot seem to get the BV support staff to answer my questions in a way that I understand. I have a few unsolved issues regarding installation of wordpress...... We seem to have several issues that have not been solved. Right now I have two faulty installations of wordpress. 1.The first faulty installation I do not seem to be able to remove manually as suggested. (Could not update registration data. Please remove manually the directory /home/eerxoktz/.fantasticodata/WordPress/vocalcentral.com|C:\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\Documents and Settings\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\owner\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\My Documents\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\BlueVoda\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\B logs!) 2.The second faulty installation gives me an error message. 3. You suggested that I reinstall wordpress in a sub folder but have not explained how to do this. All I want to do is start blogging! Surely you and/or your support team can help. Robert Jay |

| To install wordpress in a sub directory all i did was when prompted for the install location i typed www.yourdomain.com/blog and it installed it fine. i do however have some questions about customising the look and feel of the themes. |

| You might understand more about proper installation procedures (and issues) after reading this thread. Pay close attention to the step about the "little box" to create a directory... VodaHost Templates, WordPress "Themes" and Customization Help |

| Thank you for your reply to my appeal - the thread supplied is very informative. I have successfully removed all previous installations. However, now I cannot seem to find a valid directory to reinstall wordpress. I have tried http://mydomain.com/blog http://mydomain.com/wordpress and even http:www.mydomain.com/blog with no success. What can I do to create the correct sub directory to proceed? Robert Jay. |
