Thread: Help configuring sliding slashdot menu

Hi,

found a fantastic menu on dynamicdrive.com
Its called a slashdot menu. I have installed the code and got the menu to work however i dont have the expertise to customise it, attempts have proven futile, any help would be greatly appreciated!

I would like to be able to have the menu forget its previous position (cookie code remembers last position of menu) so that it always displays the same.

Mainly so that the second menu item can have its submenu's constantly expanded when the page loads. Then other menus can be expanded and contracted by clicking on them.

I am sure this is extremely simple to achieve but I cant get my head around it. If anyone can shed some light on how to do this that would be great, thanks.
