Thread: I was told I need a script ,made for logging in, will PAY!

Here is my site, it's wor in progress, http://epicvideogamers.com/newindex.php When people log in, I want them to be logged into my forum, which is http://epicvideogamers.com/forum

You can't have it both ways: if you are directing traffic to your site, the site will present first, and Visitors will need to navigate to your forum and then log in normally ... it is a core function of a forum that individuals process the logon specifically (unless you have set your forum to be open to the Public, in which case, all visitors can see and read everything in the forum but will still have to individually logon).

There is no script available that can "read" an IP and automatically log a visitor in to your forum, unless you have a very large amount of money and can skirt the laws regarding scouring of identity ....

There are quite some scripts that will simply "cookie" your computer and will, thus, redirect to the forum (and even log youin, if so setup). It's the famous "remember me" we see all the time, even in this forum.

The procedure is like this: a user comes to your home page, the script recognizes the user (from the cookie) and when he decides to go to the forum he gets automatically logged in. Alternatively, you may even redirect the visitor to the forum, if so you wish.
