Thread: php mass email

Hi,

I have already sent some mass emails to my users from my forum, http://www.portugalpoker.net/Forum , with success, but since 2 hours ago that all my mass email or even a single mail to one user aren´t delivered.I just can send an pm.
I have already put this question in the php support center, but in the mean time i would like to know if everything is ok from your server.

My guess, if you've sent "some" mass emails is that you've been flagged as a spammer.

When i say "some2 i mean 2 or 3 and i only have 35 users.

I didn´t know that sending a mass email from the forum could be considered as spam, but if it is( i believe you, lol), what is the utility of the mass email function in the forum administrator?

I am still waiting an answer from the php support, so far they just ask me if I have SMTP disabled and if both boards are on the same server, and i answer that yes, they are.

Do you know if there is any way of knowing my users email or at least change the default forum registration and mark "yes" in the box " always show my email" ?

I would like to avoid post a thread in my forum asking for everyone email adress, so if you could help me , i appreciate.

All your users' email addresses are available in the User Admin > Management menu. If you're not using smtp, you may not have been flagged. Remember, that was a guess on my part.

Make sure your forum is ending email with smtp authentication, otherwise it will never even make it off the server.
