Thread: My form disappears with mouse over menu bar. Can you help!

Could someone have a look at this page for me please .
http://www.collectors-info.com/club_business_info_form.html When I run the mouse over the top menu bar of the main page the contact form disappears, then comes back with mouse off. Is this happening on your machine & if so, any idea’s what may be causing it to happen???.

Chris,

Your form remains stable for all mouse movements with me.

Although your drop down menus are partly obscured by the form.
If you send the form to the back or move it down a little you should be OK

Think it was a browser issue, as I have been trying the pages in all types of browsers. Its surprising all the alterations you have to do to accommodate some of them. Could not get the menu to move in front of that form. So just lowered it a touch, it may have something to do with the way that form is made up.

How did you create the form ?
Did you use form maker pro ?????

No, this one was created using http://www.coffeecup.com/form-builder/ Which is very easy to use, but has a few limits. (no upload field to place on the form). Have just got form maker 4 & am about to try & install it.

Must admit I have had no trouble down loading the software & seting up, (form maker 4) But Seem to get this message come up after I press send with a test form I made up & dont get an email sent to me., Maybe something didn’t download.

Hi,
You need to upload your formprocessorpro.php again and check the file size
after you have uploaded using BV ftp.

Gointo ftp and find fmp/forms/formprocessorpro.php file in fmp folder on your computer(left side)
select and drag above file to the fmp/forms/formprocessorpro.php folder on the right side.

I have included everything above just in case you dont know how to do it....

Have checked all files in every folder & re-uploaded the one you said, still getting the same problem. I am on 70.86.241.194 server so I assume to leave the permissions @755. The only thing is I noticed that a lot of files & folders have different permissions inside the program. & I thought I would try it on 777. But when I try to change the main folder it stays at 755. I have this problem with another program I am trying to set up & cant seem to change the permissions?

Ps. I noticed that the file i re-uploaded is 23k & this shows when I transfer using ftp. But when I go to cpanel its only 22k ?

Leave the main folder on 755 and dont try to change any of the others...

I still feel that one of your dir/subdir is not complete. I know its a bore but after I went through everything I found differences in the file lengths even
though ftp had said uploaded ok.....ie original file 4k....uploaded file 1k
Your ps is exactly what I mean...that file is most important.

one or two of the folders have several sub folders which contain other files
so check everything.

If you cant be bothered, then vodahost provide an install service for $30

Hi David, gave up in the end & took your advice. Got VH to install it & all works great. Not sure if you are using this part yet, but I have set up the database to receive the information from the forms & also made it forward the info onto another email address I have. This all works great. But on the form I have 2 browse fields for uploading images to me & I can’t access these images from the form pro database. I can see the file but it’s not in the form of a link. Any ideas

Ps. The information on the form all comes to my other email address perfectly, including the browse attachments. But it would be nice to have this in the
form-pro database as a back up.
