| I need to do a 301 redirect. I am using dreamweaver 8. From what I have read; your just suppose to create a .htaccess file and input the file to be moved and where it should go. The problem is, I created the .htaccess and when I click on it to input it say's "can't find a valid file editor for this extension" What do I do? What am I missing? |

| ok..when you say upload to the directory you are wanting to move, can you clarify. I got www.domain.com/index.html and I want this redirected to www.domain.com. So do I upload to to the public directory since it is the main site? Upload to the root of the site? Also, say I were to want to move, www.domain.com/folderA/fileA.html to www.domain.com/FolderB/ Would I just the .htaccess to folderA. Sorry, very confused about this whole thing. Thanks for your help. ~Dustin |
