Should I use "AdSense" to help my SEO? Will it help with SEO? One reason I have second thoughts is my direct competition will be on those AdSense adds. I wouldn't want to go to all the trouble of getting someone to the site via organic ranking and then have them leave my site to a competitiors because I had AdSense adds there.

SEO and google adsense have nothing to do with each other. Google adsense is to get paid for people clicking on the ads. ADWORDS may help you get QUICK traffic as your ads will be part of google adsense. Karen

With adsense you always have the option to deny the display of sites which are your competitors if they do appear and that is built into the adsense system. The objective is for your site to offer complimentery services to visitors not competitive ones. Google say the bots used for this and analytics are nothing to do with the webcrawlers for ranking and seo but I have a sneaky feeling that having anything from Google going through the site on a regular basis is not a bad thing. No evidence of course, just an opinion |
